Hi friends! I hope
everyone has had a wonderful summer! All of my blogs are going to be uploaded
together but they start back on the week of June 18…
I am very excited about
summer of service! I have spent these past three-ish weeks interning at a
nonprofit and then I will be heading to India for July! My internship is at
Global Ministries, a department of New Life Church. Global Ministries sends
missionaries to nations all around the world as proclaimers of the Gospel.
These missionaries serve by building wells, homes and orphanages. We sent out a
team a couple weeks ago that was on a medical mission to Uganda and they took a
lot of supplies to serve the people of a rural village who would otherwise not
get any aid. It has been an honor getting to work with people with such a
passion for serving others (very much like Bonners J).
I have a desk job and my
duties include conducting interviews, cleaning, checking flight information,
filing passports and health records and organizing trip itineraries. The people
I get to work with are amazing and truly desire to bring hope to some of the
most broken places in the world. I’ve learned a lot about the administrative
side of running a nonprofit and while the work is not the most fun, it is very
important. I also love working in my beautiful hometown of Colorado Springs and
spending time with my family.
